Meet Me

Welcome to Tools for Dyslexia! I’m Laure Schaerr and I specialize in helping students with dyslexia develop literacy skills and confidence. I love learning the stories of our language–why there is  an O in people, an I in friend, a W in two, a W in answer. These words didn’t make sense to me when I was learning to read and spell. Discovering the reasons was exciting to me. Sharing them is my passion.

Greater Self-Confidence

We are so thankful to have found Laure for our 4th grade son. After one year of tutoring we have seen so much progress in his learning and self confidence. It was so frustrating to hear that despite all the reading programs he had taken at school he was still falling behind. I can’t tell you the thrill and excitement I felt when at his conference this year I was told he showed the most progress of anyone in his class. He started the school year behind grade level in reading and is now above grade level. This is despite his diagnosis of both ADHD and dyslexia. Thanks Ms. Laure for all your care and support I am not sure where we would be without it.  Deb J.

Teenager Improved Reading & Spelling Skills

Because of her tutoring with Laure, our teenage daughter’s reading and spelling skills have grown immensely, and she feels more confident in her abilities to read and write. We highly recommend Laure Schaerr’s tutoring services.  Johnna B.

From Frustrated to Book-Loving Student

Our daughter has been working with Laure for 3 years.  She started a struggling, frustrated reader and is now reading on grade level and enjoys picking up a book to read on her own.  I cannot adequately express the joy it has brought my heart to watch that transformation in our daughter. If your student is struggling with reading, spelling or writing, I would highly recommend Laure.  She has been such a gift to us, our home school and our daughter.     Jennifer A.
